CCAM 3-D – the unique top-grade module for freeform elements
In terms of design and function, CCAM 3-D is a unique module for handling freeform elements.
CCAM 3-D – Highlights
Specialist in freeform elements
There is no unique mathematical solution for calculating the surface of
freeform elements as a two-dimensional area. The concave and convex
areas in the surface of freeform elements are created when processing
the material through stretching and compression in the surface material.
CCAM 3-D contains predefined stretching and compression parameters that
can be changed individually and adapted to specific requirements.
Knowledge repository
CCAM 3-D stores and manages the stretching and compression parameters
found, so that solutions can be reproduced. This makes CCAM 3-D a
valuable knowledge repository for information that often only implicitly
exists in the heads and hands of personnel.
Texture Mapping
The CCAM 3-D texture mapping function can be used virtually to place
two-dimensional surfaces on top of three-dimensional freeform elements.
The structure and pattern of the surface material is thus adapted to the
shape of the freeform element.
STL interface
Data is loaded by means of an STL interface.
Synchronous implementation of changes in 3-D und 2-D
Changes are implemented synchronously in the two-dimensional
representation.
CCAM 3-D – application areas
Handling the surfaces of freeform elements –
e.g. in the shoe industry: every conceivable shoe model;
e.g. in the automotive industry: steering wheels, instrument panels,
door cladding, seat covers.
